‘YouFly’ tutorial

Each module contains a series of topics: equipment, take-off, landing, in-flight exercises, etc. Each of these topics contains lessons (in-flight tasks, theoretical information, quizzes, etc.). These will enable you to develop your knowledge while keeping track of your progress. This guideline will enable you to gradually progress towards your paragliding pilot’s licence. There is no obligation to pass or complete an exercise at a specific number of flights. Each person must progress through the lessons according to their abilities and the conditions encountered during the flying days. However, it is essential to have completed the lessons in one module before starting the more complex exercises in the following modules.

In each lesson, you will find an option called ‘Comments’. This allows you to add your personal notes. These are only visible to you and the YouFly administrators. So don’t be afraid to add your comments: they are very useful, for example, when an instructor gives you advice on how to improve your future training.

At the end of each lesson, you will find:

◦ ’Key points’: these are the important points you need to keep in mind, tips to help you learn, a sequence of movements to adopt for certain figures, etc. Don’t hesitate to ask your instructors about anything you are unsure about.

◦ a ‘Goal‘ to achieve: when you consider that this goal has been achieved, the lesson is then acquired. Simply click on the ‘Mark as complete’ button. Your progress bar will then gradually increase until it reaches 100%….
